As required by UK law (the Hallmarking Act 1973) any person that deals in precious metals must display a dealer notice as approved by the British Hallmarking Council.

Items made from sterling silver and weighing less than 7.78 g are exempt from hallmarking requirements, so items on these pages which are exempt will not be routinely hallmarked.

However, a hallmark can be added if desired but due to the minimum charge made by the assay office this will incur a £40.00 fee in addition to the cost of the item.
